Occupational Therapists| Sylvia Rogan | Sylvia RoganOTReg(Ont), OTRSylvia Rogan works in the area of Hand / Upper Extremity (Hand/UE) rehabilitation. She consults, assesses and treats clients with various injuries and conditions of the upper extremity. Sylvia also fabricates custom splints to protect injuries/conditions and also to promote increased function. Sylvia graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science in 1993 and then with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1997. She currently works in the Hand/UE program at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre and the Prosthetics Department. She consults for a New York based company that creates aesthetic prostheses for people with amputations. For a year, she worked in a Hand/UE clinic in Southern California. Sylvia is a member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, the National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapists in the United States and a member of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Sylvia had lectured at the 2004 Annual Conference of the American Society of Occupational Therapists. She plans on writing the certification exam for Hand therapy in 2005.
